Artober Local Arts Spotlight
October 1, 2014 - October 31, 2014
invites you to submit existing arts footage for broadcast during Artober Nashville
(October 2014) on Music City Arts!
What are we looking for?
Video footage of local visual or performing arts, discussion, art-making, behind-the-scenes, documentaries, etc.
As Phase One of what we hope will lead to more in-depth programming and even documentaries about the evolution of the Nashville visual and performing arts scenes, NECAT invites you to submit any existing video footage you may have relating to visual arts as part of our 2014 Artober Nashville Artists Features.
Every night during October 2014 (Metro Nashville Arts Commission’s fun Artober Nashville celebration), NECAT wants to feature local arts footage from 7:00-8:00pm on Music City Arts, our arts channel—or throughout the entire evenings if we get enough submissions. We want to pack the channel with local arts information, performances, interviews, gallery footage, studio work, etc. If you’ve got footage—we want it.
Where will it run?
On our Music City Arts channel, which is broadcast on television via Comcast channel 9 in Davidson County, via AT&T U-verse channel 99 in 19 middle Tennessee counties, and livestreamed via necatnetwork.org.
Can you use old or amateur footage?
Yes. NECAT has reserved the TV studio on September 12 (5:00-10:00pm) and September 14 (noon to 5:00pm) to record intro and outro pieces explaining what a given video is about and how it ties into Artober Nashville. Time slots will be assigned.
What are my deadlines?
Video must be submitted by Monday, August 4 for consideration and scheduling. If your video needs an explanatory intro/outro and you personally are unable to attend the tapings on September 12 and 14, one will be recorded for you.
How to I submit a video for consideration?
Email a YouTube link to firstname.lastname@example.org or call (615) 354-1273 for FTP info.
Don’t have footage, but wish you did?
